The OnePlus 7T Pro will not be coming to the United States. Furthermore, it doesn’t look like that much of an upgrade over the impressive 7 Pro last year. According to new press render of the phone from @Onleaks and iGeeksBlog, OnePlus is adding a new sensor to its triple-camera system. It’s likely a time-of-flight sensor, it is something that many phone makers are experimenting with lately.
OnePlus 7T Pro looks identical to the 7 Pro and it will come with the same pop-up camera, tiny bezels, and the blue finish. According to 9to5Google, the shade is a little lighter in comparison to 7 Pro, but this might be due to the angle of this specific image. Yesterday, OnePlus also gave a first glimpse of the standard OnePlus 7T. This give a changed look bit with a circular camera array. Both devices will be announced at an event on September 26th along with the OnePlus TV.
According to a report from Android Police yesterday claimed that Verizon is will become OnePlus’ latest US carrier partner. This will be perhaps as early as next year. It is important to note that the direct sales through Verizon would be a huge boost for OnePlus. Furthermore, according to PhoneArena, Verizon might exclusively sell the “OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition as well which has got to be up there with the most absurd phone names in the history. Just imagine the type of commercial that Verizon will make for a phone called the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition. Other than this, the standard OnePlus 7 Pro was recently certified as a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) phone on Verizon’s network, but this doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
An official stamen was requested to be made but Verizon spokesperson said the company will not comment on its product pipeline.
