YouTube is going to introduce profile cards that will be displaying all comments that are left by the user on a particular video. By just tapping on the profile picture of a user who has commented, their profile card will open with a summary of public information about that particular user.
The information that will be displayed on the YouTube profile cards will include:
- Profile photo
- Number of subscribers
- Recent comments and replies.
- Channels have subscribed.
Comments that are displayed in a profile card are limited to the video that is currently being viewed. YouTube is hoping that this will be the first step toward the welcoming community. This will make the user think twice when leaving the negative comments. In this way, it will be easy for people to be easily found in the profile card.
Note that the user’s comment history to which the channels they have subscribed to will be shoeing a full display in their profile card. In addition to this, you can also learn more about the types of YouTube creators, a person has subscribed.
However, users will be able to change the information that is displayed in their profile cards via the settings menu. This might be worth looking if you value your privacy on YouTube.
Profile cards will be first rolling to all the Android users and they will be coming in the other devices in the future.
